Advice For Singles With Herpes

Having an STD like herpes can make you feel like you are separated from the rest of the world. Catching herpes after being launched into the dating scene can be a great discouragement. Singles with herpes are many in the world and you should not feel alone in any way. You can join herpes support groups for friendship and support. There are a growing number of people living with herpes all over the world. This has led to invention of new industry which is Internet dating web sites for people with herpes. It is actually amazing that one in four women is infected with herpes and one in six men is also infected. Once you get over the shock of being diagnosed with herpes you should go online. You will feel so consoled because the number of sites for people living with STD is very high.

Singles with herpes have found solid comfort through online dating sites. Craig who is a single professional man from North Carolina ended up with herpes. Talking to only one person and telling him/her about what how he was feeling was good enough but when he joined a dating site he found more than 500 people to talk to. They were all living with herpes but just like him, they were decent people. They provided support and other services that were very useful to him. It feels good to talk to people who understand what you are going through. In these dating sites, all the members are infected and therefore they are more than willing to listen to your story and set you free in more than one way.

Dating for singles with herpes is not as easy like for singles with cancer or diabetes. The fact that herpes is a sexually transmitted disease makes a lot of people to become opinionated. You might be educated with a masters degree, good money but it is hard to enjoy a good relationship with a person who knows your status. If you are dating a person who is not infected it is quite hard to tell the right time to disclose your status. In the dating sites you are advised on when and how to tell a prospective girlfriend/boyfriend about herpes. It is one of the greatest ethical problems experienced by most people. Whenever Jennifer would tell men that she was dating with herpes, all prospective men would run in the opposite direction.

Spreading a disease is not something most of us want to do unless you do not fear guilty trips. The beauty about herpes dating sites is that all the members have the disease therefore you do not have to worry about spreading it to other people. Most new members feel nervous about joining the site since it is usually their first time to disclose their status or talk about it openly. Whenever a support group is organized many are nervous to enter through the door and some even go back on reaching the entrance. Singles with herpes appreciate the support groups and one of the organizers confessed that she usually receives flowers after the party.

Celebrities with Herpes

Published by under Herpes Information

I was quite surprised to hear that David Beckham is also suffering from herpes. Well, a google check gave rise to several interesting finding:

This is reproduced from HerbalCheck.com:

In today’s celebrity-driven world, we often lose sight of the fact that movie stars, supermodels and musicians are human too. Almost everywhere we go, we see famous people flaunting their enviable and glittering lives. We turn on the TV and we see them walking down the red carpet or promoting their latest movies/shows/concerts/merchandise on talk shows. We switch on the radio and hear their latest hits and interviews. We drive down the highway and see billboards of their latest ads and movies. In a culture where these celebrities are blown to a size larger than life, it is indeed easy to forget that they are also living and breathing humans like us—prone to the common cold, flu, acne or even herpes. Undoubtedly one of the biggest celebrities that are influencing pop culture today is David Beckham and even he is not being spared by the infamous STD.

It goes on saying:

Celebrities With STDs
David Beckham herpes is not news – in fact, many other celebrities have this condition. Other famous males who are carrying the common STD are Brad Pitt, Joshua Jackson, Colin Farrell, Dennis Rodman, David Hasselhoff, Billy Idol and Robin Williams. Even former president Bill Clinton is also a known carrier. Female stars who have herpes include Paris Hilton, Sheryl Crow, Pamela Anderson, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.

Spreading Around
The list of celebrities with herpes is just proof that the virus spares no one. If you value your health, well-being and self-esteem, then you would do whatever it takes to make sure that you prevent the disease. A monogamous sexual relationship is the best way to prevent herpes. Having only one sexual partner who does not carry the disease already reduces your chances of contracting it dramatically. If you have more than one sexual partner, make sure you use a condom or have your partner tested beforehand. Remember, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

And, GossipList even published a list of more than 30 celebrities who supposedly have herpes.

Like HerbalCheck.com rightly said, “it is indeed easy to forget that [celebrities] are also living and breathing humans like us—prone to the common cold, flu, acne or even herpes.”

It is interesting and inspiring to note that life goes on for these celebrities. Take David Beckham and his glamorous wife as an example, this couple is still making headlines everywhere they go.  They still play/act/sing or endorse products to make big money, play and have fun with their life. That should be the way for all herpes members. LIFE GOES ON.  If you have been shielding yourself far too long and don’t know where to start, a suggestion is to join herpes support groups that knows all about your inconvenience and suffering. An understanding friend is excellent aid to help you rebuild life. Just think of the things you’re missing out if you go on victimizing yourself. Don’t let a diease dis-ease you, live life to the fullest.

Genital Herpes and Toilet Seats

Published by under Cures & Treatment

Does genital herpes spread through using same toilet seat? I have seen this question being asked repeatedly at various places on the Internet. Everybody is worried about getting infected with genital herpes and this fear makes people think of different ways in which they believe that they may get infected by herpes. The fear of sharing toilet seat and getting herpes originates similarly. The truth is that it is extremely difficult, rather nearly impossible to get genital herpes by sharing the same toilet seat. The virus does not survive outside body and dies quickly. The virus therefore cannot be spread by such means as sharing the same towel or the same toilet seat. How the virus spreads- Genital herpes is transmitted by sexual contact. If you come in sexual contact with an infected person you may get herpes. If the affected person has active lesions the chances of getting herpes increase. But many people shed the virus even if they show no outward sign of lesions. They also spread herpes. Herpes virus enters our body through mucous membrane or a cut in the skin or. The inside of mouth, inner genitals, anus, are all covered with mucous membrane. Any activity that brings the live virus in others body in touch with your body may transmit herpes. In case of toilet seats and towels the virus may get transferred to them but does not remain alive. Therefore such virus is not dangerous. The virus remains alive in the body and therefore transmission from body to body causes herpes. If another object comes in-between the virus does not get transmitted, because it dies. This article is only for informative purposes.
