HI.. I JUST HAVE ONE QUESTION.. I WANT TO KNOW IF IT COULD BE POSSIBLE THAT MY BF HAS BEEN CARRYING THE VIRUS FOR OVER 5 YRS WITH NOM SYMTOMS.. I ASK THIS BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN DATING FOR NEARLY TWO YRS AND MY FIRST INFECTION WAS THIS YR APRIL.. THIS IS MY 2ND BF.. HE HAS HAD 10 GIRL FRIENDS IN HIS LIFE TIME AND THE LAST ONE HE HAD WAS 6YRS LONG AND SHE HAD COLD SORES.. ITS JUST THIS BLAMMING GAME.. BUT I KNOW IT CANT BE ME COZ I HAD ONE BOY FRIEND BEFORE HIM 3 YRS AGO AND WE HAD SEX THREE TIMES WITH A CONDOM..
Many people have herpes with little or no noticeable symptoms. Outbreaks could be so mild that they go un-noticed. Symptoms usually develop between 2 – 20 days after initial contact. Thereafter, outbreaks could occur at any time. Sex with a condom is no guarantee against getting infected, though it does reduce the risk very much.
Basically, don’t play the blame game. Herpes is highly manageable with the right treatment and with some care, you can live your lives normally. Consult a physician as soon as you can to get a proper diagnosis. There are also many help groups around, find one in your area or find a good one online, and get some support. All the best to you.
My friend runs this site: http://yoshi2me.com/ and she is a very positive and helpful person.
